What is a Will?

A Will is a written document that specifies how a person's property will be distributed upon death, and who is to act on your behalf. A will can also help when appointing a personal representative, trustee, or guardian for minor children. There is no limit to the type or number of instructions you can have in a will for post-death administrations of your property.

A will is only one part of the planning process. Other documents are needed to fully address your estate planning needs. Just as situations change in your life, laws also change and it may be critical to periodically adjust your estate plan to reflect those life changes.
